but in this part I hope you won't hate me for confessing that I saw a bit of Wrong here Nope, you nailed it ( :-) smile of writerly vindication). I was writing that with Jane's summertime trauma in mind, it's just Walter doesn't have the context to understand the reaction. So *he* jumps tracks onto slight D/s fantasies... which, when I write it out that explicitly is an opportunity for Great Wrong and Epic Miscommunication D-: but I console myself with the fact that Walter is a perceptive man, it wouldn't take him a moment to correctly interpret Jane's signals and back the hell off. Plus, it's Lisbon with the power in that particular scenario, and she understands the differnce between Jane's co-operative moments, and his fear.
I can finally swallow the lump in my throat and get you that email Ready when you are :-D
