Thank you! This is a lovely comment (and I apologise for the delay replying, I'm very sporadic at logging in). I'm glad my view on Guy comes through so clearly, you've really picked up on how I was trying to show him.
Sequel wise, there sort of was one, but it pivoted on a rather Machiavellian prince John who I can't now write because it'll be a huge departure from what's now showing (uh, not that these fics aren't a departure from canon mid series one anyway!)
Is it bad that the thing that freaks me out most about S3 is that they seem to be trying to give Guy ringlets?
Yeah, the Sherrif has NEVER loved Guy as a father...like a really creepy and inappropriate uncle, maybe. Although I do believe he has some genuine affection for Guy...I can't help but think that "Don't trust him" was somehow sincerely meant. But my God, how awesome was their fight scene? Fantastically choreographed, and brutal in a way we never see the good guys fight. I actually yelped when Guy went over the battlements. And Guy suddenly letting loose "You're everything that's repulsive in a man." Hah! I knew you had a moral compass Guy. And "You're the reason Marian's dead". Not Robin. It's just *easier* to be pissed off at Robin.
*Squints at knocks/nocks* You're so right. I KNEW that line was bugging me for a reason! This is why betas are a good idea.
Oops, I seem to have rambled myself when I really should be in bed. I haven't even seen tonights episode, I was out watching Star Trek.
