You need a lock to protect the book, and to be superfit and toned to intimidate any thieves not deterred by the lock and/or catch them when they run away with your book!

(Greeeene. On the release day for new books, can you generally get them in store that day, in the UK? The whole UK, please speak for it. Because I will be in St Andrews and I want that book. That day. Because what is waiting.)

This is definitely a thing that can be done in the UK! I have bought many a hardback on the day of publication. Aim for like a Waterstones or something and you'll be fine :-)

I will start working out to deter the thieves!
