Yeah, I can't figure out its comparative unpopularity (there's another dubious word) because adversary slash is like the best thing ever...except with the Sheriff, who I am unaccountably squicked by. I have actually hidden behind a pillow and shrieked in some of his slashier scenes.
Perhaps its the built in Robin/Marian romance...but that plays so well into slash that it doesn't quite seem an adequate explanation. Anyway, I'm happy the pairing became a little more popular that it was, because there used to be like, nothing. It was sad.
You will be pleased to know I've finished the first draft anyway. I just have to make it comprehensible. (At the moment, every single peasant referred to seems to be called Simon. Why brain, why?) Its bizarre how much someone asking after it makes it an Important Thing I Should Be Concentrating On.
